Difficult

It is difficult, to use a strange phrase, ‘to get your head around’ the reality of covid-19 as a world phenomenon impacting us in the UK. I recall the opening words of M Scott Peck in ‘The road less travelled’ [1978]: “life is difficult.” He goes on to argue that the best way to cope with and transform the situation is to accept it! Well, at best, on our strong days,

we strive not to be overcome by fear and powerlessness. We are critically thoughtful about Government and media. We mourn those we know who have died and we think of those we know who are ill. We dig-deep into our personal and communal resources. We ask for the help we need and freely share our skills and strengths. We are, I trust, ‘doing the best we can.’
