Change taking place

When I was twenty I didn’t know the word ‘blog.’ Of course, people have always noticed changes taking place. But since the world-web-web began [after 1989] change has gone into overdrive. Here’s my short-list of ‘significant changes in my life-time:’ I would say - contraception; IT; developments in medical science; the damage being caused by climate change; and our understanding of ‘the universe and everything’ - as in, “Scientists say they have "decisively" overturned the prevailing theory for how planets in our Solar System formed [BBC 2020 02 14].”
